Overview of Benefits and Privileges

Benefits

• Opportunity to enroll in the medical, vision, and dental plans as are available to faculty and staff, with the same University contribution toward the premium cost.  Participant share of cost, if any, for the option elected withheld from the Certificate check.
• Required to re-enroll if classification being changed from any existing classification to Post Doctoral Scholar.
• Submit Health Care Enrollment Form for Eligible Participant As Post Doctoral Scholar
• University contribution toward the premium cost of medical insurance reportable on person's calendar year-end tax documents.
• No further calendar year-end tax reporting of the withholding on a post tax basis from the Certificate check of the participant share of premium cost (if any, for the option elected).

University Identification Card

• Opportunity to obtain ID card, known as "blue, Cathedral card", with the same privileges as are available to faculty and Staff, including as available no cost PAT bus ridership.
• Available at Panther Central/ID Center, Towers, after appointment record is established on the Payroll System.
• Required to obtain a new ID Card if classification being changed from any existing classification to Post Doctoral Scholar.
